Welcome to my little corner of the net. My name is Andrea Clunes and I'm a Japanese/English/Spanish professional translator, graduated from Universidad de Santiago de Chile. :)

DESCRIPCIÓN PERSONAL

Joven trabajadora, responsable, autocrítica y perfeccionista que ama Japón y el japonés y sueña con trabajar como traductora japonés/español – español/japonés. Tengo un dominio fluido del idioma inglés (nivel avanzado) y cada día mejoro mi dominio del idioma japonés (intermedio). Puedo traducir todo tipo de textos, pero prefiero los de temática humanista o literaria. También sé hacer sitios web simples en HTML y editar imágenes con Adobe Photoshop. He creado variadas imágenes en ese programa, para logos o wallpapers y también he creado skins para el juego de computador Los Sims.



HOBBIES

Definitivamente, mi más grande e importante hobby es leer. Amo leer cualquier tipo de novela. Mis autores favoritos son muchos, pero los más importantes podrían ser Jordi Sierra I Fabra, Robin Cook, Tom Clancy, Anne Rice y Víctor Domingo Silva.

También me gusta escuchar música, así que siempre llevo conmigo un CD-player.

Otra parte importante de mi vida es mi profundo interés por los actores de voz japoneses. Admiro y sigo con interés el trabajo de estos profesionales desde 1999.

También me gusta ver anime (animación japonesa) y leer manga (cómics japoneses).

Finalmente, paso gran part de mi tiempo en la red, ya sea revisando mis e-mails, visitando sitios webs que me gustan, escribiendo e-mails para listas de correo o amigos, escribiendo en mi weblog (http://hiyokonojinsei.blogspot.com) y también en comunidades online como Mixi.jp. También paso parte de mi tiempo libre en el juego online Maple Story y jugando a otros videojuegos.



METAS PERSONALES

Como profesional de la traducción, me gustaría convertirme en una buena traductora de japonés y/o inglés, especializada en literatura y textos artísticos. Me encantaría también traducir mangas y cómics, canciones o guiones de películas. Esas cosas me encantan y por ello me agradaría mucho poder desempeñarme en esas áreas. Me gustaría continuar mejorando mi japonés y mi inglés, así como también me gustaría aprender otros idiomas (francés, italiano, chino, coreano, etc).

Mi trabajo ideal sería uno que pueda desempeñar desde mi casa, traduciendo cosas para quienes las necesiten, sin tener que asistir a una oficina diariamente. En general, me gustaría trabajar para alguna agencia internacional que contrate a profesionales de todo el mundo. De esa forma, podría combinar mis gustos personales y mis estudios con mi trabajo.

SELF-DESCRIPTION

Hard-working, responsible, autocritical and perfectionist woman who loves Japan and Japanese and dreams about working as a Japanese/Spanish-Spanish/Japanese translator. I am very fluent in English (advanced) and I am becoming more and more fluent in Japanese (intermediate). I can translate all types of texts, but I prefer the humanistic and literary ones. Also I know how to make HTML websites, as well as editing images with Adobe Photoshop. I have done several images as logos or wallpapers and I have also worked in skins for the computer game, The Sims.



HOBBIES

Definitely, my main and most important hobby is to read. I love to read any type of books. My favorite authors are several, but the most important ones are Jordi Sierra I Fabra, Robin Cook, Tom Clancy, Anne Rice and Víctor Domingo Silva.

I also love to listen to music, so I am always carrying a portable CD-player or MP3 player around with me.

Another important thing in my life is my deep interest in Japanese voice actors. I admire and follow the work of several of these professionals since 1999.

I also love to watch anime (Japanese cartoons) and to read mangas (Japanese comics).

Finally, I spend a lot of my time in the web, either reading my e-mails, checking websites I like, writing mails for maliling lists or posting on my weblog (http://hiyokonojinsei.blogspot.com) and also in online communities such as Mixi.jp. I also play an online RPG game called Maple Story and other videogames.




PERSONAL GOALS

As a translation professional, I would like to become a good Japanese and/or English Translator, specialized in literature and artistic texts. I would also love to translate mangas and comic books, songs or movie scripts. I love those things and that is why I would love to work in those areas. I would like to continue learning about Japanese and English languages, as well as learning some others (French, Italian, Chinese, Korean, etc).

My ideal type of work would be from my home, translating stuff for people who needs them, but without having to go to an office. Preferably, I would love to work abroad, translating for an important company that hires people around the world. That way I could combine my personal interests and studies with my work.

ARTICLE 5. TERM AND RENEWAL

5.01.- Initial Term.
The "Initial Term" of this Franchise Agreement shall be ten (10) years from the Effective Date hereof, unless sooner terminated pursuant to Section 13.02 hereof. In the event you are not permitted to remain at the Approved Arena for the entire Initial Term of the Franchise Agreement, we will use our best efforts to assist you in finding another location to serve as the Approved Arena for the remainder of the Initial Term of the Franchise Agreement; however, it is specifically understood and agreed to by you that we are under no obligation whatsoever to actually find or provide another location to serve as the Approved Arena and we have made no representation that we will be able to find or provide such other location to serve as the Approved Arena for the remainder of the Initial Term of the Franchise Agreement. You further specifically acknowledge and agree that in the event you are not permitted to remain at the Approved Arena for the entire Initial Term of the Franchise Agreement, whether or not we have been able to find or provide such other location to serve as the Approved Arena for the remainder of the Initial Term of the Franchise Agreement, you shall not be entitled to a refund of any of the Initial Franchise Fee paid by you to USBL pursuant to Section 4.01 hereof.

5.02 .- Renewal Term.
Subject to the terms and conditions contained in this Section 5.02, you shall have the right to renew this Agreement for additional consecutive "Renewal Term(s)" often (10) years each upon the following terms and conditions:

(a) Upon your written request received by us not more than twelve (12) months nor less than six (6) months prior to the expiration of the Initial Term hereof, or any subsequent Renewal Term, we will notify you of the expiration date of the then current term of this Franchise Agreement and shall transmit to you a copy of the then current franchise agreement used by USBL in connection with the issuance of new franchises.

(b) Within thirty (30) days after receipt by you of said notice and franchise agreement, you shall execute and deliver two (2) executed copies of the franchise agreement and payment of the Renewal Fee (as shown in Section 6.03) to us; we shall then execute both copies thereof and return one (1) copy to you. If you fail or refuse to execute and deliver such renewal of the franchise agreement within the thirty (30) day period shall be deemed an election by you not to renew the franchise.

(c)Your right to renew this Agreement shall be subject to and conditioned upon the following conditions:

(i) At the time that you execute any new franchise agreement in connection with the franchise renewal process and at the time of the commencement of any such Renewal Term, you shall not be in default and shall have fully performed all of your obligations under this Agreement and any and all other applicable written agreements then in force and effect between you and us.

ii) In the event we determine not to renew this Agreement by reason of a default by you under this Agreement or the failure by you to fully perform your obligations under this Agreement and any and all other applicable agreements, then and in such event, we must give you notice of our intention not to renew within thirty (30) days after the date you give notice of your intention to renew.

If an act, event, omission or occurrence which would give us the right not to renew this Agreement occurs subsequent to the renewal date, we shallhave the right to terminate this Agreement as renewed in accordance with the provisions of Article 13 hereof.

ARTÍCULO 5. Período y Renovación.

5.01.- Período Inicial.
El “Período Inicial” de este Contrato de franquicia será de diez (10) años desde la Fecha Efectiva de este contrato, a menos que sea finalizado antes, según la sección 13.02 del presente. Usted reconoce y acuerda específicamente que en caso de que el período del arriendo que usted negocia para el Estadio Aprobado no sea igual al Período Inicial del Contrato de Franquicia, usted asumirá el total riesgo de que no se le permita permanecer en el Estadio Aprobado por el Período Inicial completo del Contrato de Franquicia. En caso de que a usted no se le permita permanecer en el Estadio Aprobado por el Período Inicial completo del Contrato de Franquicia, nosotros haremos nuestros mejores esfuerzos para ayudarle a encontrar otro lugar que sirva como Estadio Aprobado por el resto del Período Inicial del Contrato de Franquicias; sin embargo, usted comprende y acuerda específicamente que nosotros no tenemos ninguna obligación en absoluto de realmente encontrarle o entregarle otro lugar que sirva como Estadio Aprobado y que no nos hemos comprometido a que seremos capaces de encontrar o entregar ese otro lugar que sirva como Estadio Aprobado por el resto del Período Inicial del Contrato de Franquicia. Usted además reconoce y acuerda específicamente que no le está permitido permanecer en el Estadio Aprobado por el Período Inicial completo de este Contrato de Franquicia, hayamos o no nosotros sido capaces de encontrar o entregar ese otro lugar que sirva como Estadio Aprobado por el resto del Período Inicial del Contrato de Franquicia, usted no tendrá el derecho a reembolse de ninguno de los Honorarios Iniciales de Franquicia pagados por usted a la USBL, de acuerdo a la Sección 4.01 de este documento.

5.02 .- Período de Renovación.
Sujeto a los términos y condiciones contenidos en esta Sección 5.02 Usted tendrá el derecho de renovar este Contrato por “Período(s) de Renovación” adicional(es) y consecutivo(s) a menudo diez (10) años, cada uno de ellos bajo los siguientes términos y condiciones:

(a) Según su petición escrita recibida por nosotros no más de doce (12) meses ni menos de seis (seis) meses previos al vencimiento del Período Inicial de este contrato, o cualquier Período de Renovación ulterior, nosotros le notificaremos de la fecha de vencimiento del de ese entonces período vigente de este Contrato de Franquicia y le enviaremos una copia del contrato de franquicia vigente en ese entonces usado por la USBL en relación con la emisión de nuevas franquicias.

(b) En un plazo de treinta (30) días posteriores a que usted reciba dicha notificación y contrato de franquicia, usted deberá realizar y enviarnos dos (2) copias del contrato de franquicia y del pago de los Honorarios de Renovación (como muestra la Sección 6.03); en ese momento nosotros formalizaremos ambas copias y le regresaremos a usted una (1) copia. Si usted no realiza y envía dicha renovación del contrato de franquicia en el plazo de treinta (30) días o si se rehúsa a hacerlo, se considerará como su elección de no renovar la franquicia.

(c) Su derecho a renovar este Contrato estará sujeto a y dependerá de las siguientes condiciones:
(i) Para cuando usted realice cualquier nuevo contrato de franquicia relacionado con el proceso de renovación de franquicia y para cuando se inicie cualquier Período de Renovación, usted no estará en incumplimiento y habrá desempeñado por completo todas sus obligaciones conforme este Contrato y cualquier y todos los otros contratos escritos pertinentes en vigencia entre usted y nosotros.

ii) En caso de que nosotros decidamos no renovar este Contrato por razones de incumplimiento por parte de usted según este Contrato o por no desempeñar todas sus obligaciones por completo según este Contrato y cualquier y todos los otros contratos, entonces y en tal caso, deberemos notificarle de nuestra intención de no renovar en un plazo de treinta (30) días posteriores a la fecha en que nos informó de su intención de renovar.

Si un hecho, circunstancia, omisión o acontecimiento que nos dé el derecho de no renovar este Contrato sucediera luego de la fecha de renovación, tendremos el derecho de terminar este Contrato renovado, conforme las estipulaciones del Artículo 13 de este documento.

CONVENIO ESPECIFICO DE COOPERACIÓN ENTRE LA FACULTAD DE ARQUITECTURA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE VALPARAÍSO – CHILE Y LA FACHHOCHSCHULE SCHWABISCH HALL – ALEMANIA

En Valparaíso, a ____ de Octubre del 2006, entre la UNIVERSIDAD DE VALPARAÍSO , Corporación Educacional de Derecho Público, representada por su Rector , don Juan Riquelme Zucchet, domiciliado en Avenida Errázuriz N 2190 Valparaíso y la FACHHOCHSCHULE SCHWABISCH HALL – ALEMANIA ,representada por su Rectora , doña Iso Wagner, domiciliada en ____________________________________ , se ha establecido el siguiente Convenio :

Implementar a partir del año 2007 y hasta el año 2010, un programa internacional de movilidad estudiantil y académica en las carreras de Diseño, Arquitectura y Gestión Turístico Cultural.

Intercambio de Estudiantes

Primero
- Los estudiantes de intercambio pagarán el derecho de enseñanza sólo en su universidad de origen.

- Los costos de viaje y otros necesarios en que incurran los participantes serán de costo de cada estudiante.

- Los estudiantes participantes podrán postular a las becas y ayudas que corresponda. Cada Universidad informará a su contraparte acerca de la disponibilidad de becas y ayudas para estudiantes extranjeros.

- El alojamiento y alimentación, serán cubiertos por la universidad anfitriona.

- Los estudiantes participantes necesitarán contar con un adecuado seguro de salud, vigente y acreditarlo satisfactoriamente.


Segundo
- Cada año podrán postular al programa de intercambio regido por el presente Convenio un máximo de 4 estudiantes de cada universidad firmante .

- Las partes acuerdan que el número de estudiantes participantes podrá ser modificado en el futuro por acuerdo mutuo.

- Las partes se comprometen a designar un académico supervisor de los alumnos de intercambio en las siguientes areas donde se realizará el intercambio:

Tercero
Los alumnos participantes deberán poseer destreza en el lenguaje del país de la universidad anfitriona. Asimismo la Universidad anfitriona proporcionará sin costo un programa intensivo de lenguaje y de inmersión previo a la realización de sus estudios.


Cuarto
- Los estudiantes participantes sólo serán candidatos a la obtención de grados otorgados por su universidad de origen sin que puedan serlo en relación con grados otorgados por la universidad anfitriona.

- La universidad anfitriona otorgará certificación acerca del trabajo completado en ella por los estudiantes, a petición de su universidad de origen.


Quinto
Los estudiantes participantes en el programa de intercambio de acuerdo a los términos del presente convenio serán seleccionados inicialmente por su universidad de origen, siendo en el caso de la Universidad de Valparaíso, alumnos de Séptimo Semestre. Sin embargo, la decisión final de admisión corresponderá a la universidad anfitriona.


Sexto
El período de incorporación de los estudiantes participantes a la Universidad anfitriona será de un semestre, realizándose en los siguientes períodos :

Primer Semestre : Marzo a Junio
Segundo Semestre : Agosto a Diciembre

Para postular a los semestres correspondientes, las candidaturas con los debidos expedientes deberán ser presentados a las unidades de movilidad correspondiente en las siguientes fechas

Postulaciones a Primer Semestre : última semana de Octubre del año anterior
Postulaciones a Segundo Semestre : última semana de Abril del año anterior



Intercambio de Docentes

Primero
Las partes acuerdan, por este Convenio, el implementar el intercambio académico a través de un académico que anualmente realice una pasantía , determinando cada Institución el candidato seleccionado en base a criterios que cada Institución defina

Segundo
Las Instituciones de origen, a través de las instancias correspondientes, se harán cargo del transporte y las de destino del respectivo alojamiento y alimentación

Tercero
Los temas y las actividades conjuntas y las condiciones para la utilización de los resultados de sus trabajos y los acuerdos específicos de sus visitas, intercambios y otras formas de cooperación, serán negociadas para cada caso en particular.

Las Instituciones de Cooperación entenderán que el financiamiento de los convenios debe negociarse, dependiendo de la disponibilidad de fondos.



Se entiende que la implementación de este convenio comenzará a regir el de Octubre del 2006 y continuará por 4 años, sujeto de vez en cuando a la revisión y modificación por mutuo acuerdo. La posibilidad de renovación de los términos del convenio será discutida por los representantes de ambas partes en un período mínimo de seis meses previo al término natural del mismo.

Este convenio está redactado en Español e Inglés , ambos textos son igualmente auténticos.

Third
The students inside the program must be fluent in the language of the hosting University. Likewise, the hosting University will provide a free, intensive, immersion-type language course before the beginning of the exchange student’s courses.


Forth
- The students in the program will only be able to obtain a degree given by the University they come from. They are not necessarily entitled to obtain degrees given by the hosting University.

- The hosting University will certify the work done in it by the students, when requested by the University they come from.


Fifth
The students taking part of the exchange program, developed under the terms of this agreement, will be first chosen by the University they originally come from – in Universidad de Valparaíso’s case, students from the 7th semester –. However, the final decision of accepting them will be taken by the hosting University.


Sixth
The incorporation period to the host university will be of one semester. This period goes from:

First semester: March to June
Second semester: August to December

To apply to the suitable semester, the list of candidates along with their profiles should be presented to the correspondent student mobility units within the following dates:

To apply to the first semester: last week of October of the year before the courses
To apply to the second semester: last week of April of the year before the courses



Professors Exchange

First
The participants agree through the present agreement, to create a professors exchange program. This program will consist of one professor per year, who will make an internship. The applicant will be determined by each University and based on the standards they define.

Second
The Universities from which the professors come from, will be in charge of the transportation, while the hosting Universities will be in charge of accommodation and food.

Third
The subjects, joint activities, terms of use of the work done and the specific agreement of each visit, as well as exchange and other forms of cooperation will be negotiated in each particular case.

The Cooperation Institutions will understand that the funding of the agreements must be negotiated, depending on the availability of funding.




The participants understand that the implementation of ths agreement will start as of October 2006 and will continue for 4 years, being bond to an occasional revision and modification after mutual agreement. The possibility of a renewal of the agreement terms will be discussed by the participants’ representatives during a period of at least six months before the natural end of it.

This agreement has been written both in Spanish and English. Both texts are equally genuine.

Do not try to e-mail me at this address, because it's only and ID for the messenger program and your mail will bounce. :P

- TELEPHONE NUMBER AND OTHERS: Due to the public nature of the Internet, I decided not to post my personal phone or cellphone number, as well as my real postal address or any other private information such as these, at least until I have a business address and phone. Once we've established contact, I'll gladly share this information with my clients. :)

Of course, feel free to ask if there are any other contact methods available for you, based on your location (for example, if you live in the same city I do). :)

Si desea contactarme, puede hacerlo de las siguiente formas:


- CORREO ELECTRÓNICO: Envíe un mensaje de correo electrónico a andreaclunes[en]gmail[punto]com. Reviso mi e-mail diariamente así que recibirá rápidamente una respuesta mía.

- BLOG: Deje un comentario con su información de contacto (nombre, e-mail, sitio wb, etc) en esta entrada del blog. Yo recibiré una notificación y le contactaré tan pronto como me sea posible.

- MSN MESSENGER: Éste es el método que menos me gusta, puesto que casi nunca me conecto a este programa de conversación. Aun así, tengo una ID de MSN así que puede intentar agregarme y esperar a que me conecte y le encuentre en línea. Pero, como dije, prácticamente nunca uso este programa, a menos que un cliente lo pida específicamente. Mi ID es andreajclunesv@hotmail.com. No me escriba a esa dirección, pues es sólo una ID para el messenger y su mensaje rebotará. :P

- NÚMERO TELEFÓNICO Y OTROS: Debido a la naturaleza pública de internet, decidí no incluir aquí mi número de teléfono fijo o celular, así como tampoco mi dirección postal o cualquier otra información privada del estilo, por lo menos hasta que cuente con una dirección y un teléfono de negocios. Una vez que hayamos establecido el contacto, no tendré ningún problema en compartir esta información con mis clientes. :)

Desde luego, siéntase en libertad de consultar respecto a otros métodos de contacto disponibles para usted, dependiendo de su ubicación (por ejemplo, si es que vive en mi misma ciudad). :)
